Aniket Chikse — at work

I'm Aniket Chikse, Founder of VoiceGuardAI — building AI-powered systems to detect deepfakes, analyse synthetic media, and make digital interactions more trustworthy.

Generative AI is creating incredible possibilities, and a new security problem: when a voice, a face, or a piece of content can be generated, how do we know what is real? That question is what led me to build VoiceGuardAI.

I work across AI/ML, cybersecurity, media forensics, and product engineering — taking a problem from a research question to a working system: understanding the threat, experimenting with models, building, testing where it fails, and iterating. I'm drawn to AI security and adversarial research — prompt injection, model attacks, and how AI systems are evaluated, attacked, and defended.

A self-taught, hands-on builder. I learn by building, breaking, debugging, and building again — moving fast with AI-native workflows while understanding the code behind what I ship.

BUILDING VOICEGUARDAI.

VoiceGuardAI is building a real-time authenticity layer — technology that verifies whether audio, video, and images are real, for individuals, enterprises, banks, and governments.

In 2023, a close friend faced a serious blackmail situation involving digital media. Watching it happen made clear how dangerous manipulated content becomes when a face, a voice, or an identity can be used against someone.

Generative AI was improving fast, but tools for ordinary people to verify what is real were almost nonexistent. The experience stayed with me — and I stopped seeing deepfakes as only an AI problem, and started seeing them as an identity and trust problem.

That pushed me to start VoiceGuardAI in 2023. The first idea was simple: detect manipulated media and protect people from identity misuse and fraud. Over time it grew into the larger vision — an authenticity layer that works in real time, everywhere content is trusted.

VoiceGuardAI didn't begin because deepfakes were a trending market. It began because I had seen the real-world damage digital manipulation can do to a person — close enough to feel it.

BUILT, TESTED
AND WHAT STILL
NEEDS VALIDATION."

GSEA Navi Mumbai — Finals

January 2025 · Mumbai

SECOND RUNNER-UP.₹40,000 PRIZE.

My first competition since VoiceGuardAI began — and the first one held in person. From the application round to the finals, every stage of GSEA Navi Mumbai sharpened the pitch and the thinking behind it.

Third on stage. Not the finish line — proof that the work holds up in front of judges and investors, and a reason to aim higher.

Grateful to GSEA for the opportunity, and to the judges and investors for their insights and support. The journey continues.

SELECTED FOR THEOIE IITM GRANT.

VoiceGuardAI has been selected for the OIE IITM Grant 2026 — a ₹5,00,000 grant from the Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at IIT Madras.

A huge milestone for the team, and a testament to the problem we are solving. Grateful to IIT Madras for believing in our vision and supporting early-stage innovation.

This is just the beginning. To everyone who has supported the journey — mentors, advisors, friends, and family: thank you. We are more motivated than ever to build, grow, and make an impact.

OpenAI Builders Lounge — Bengaluru

August 2026 · Bengaluru

UNDERSTAND DEEPLY.BUILD FAST.

A room full of builders, founders, and people thinking seriously about what's next in AI. I was invited to the OpenAI Builders Lounge, and met Sanya Arora and Kulapradip Bharali from OpenAI's startup team.

The day centred on Harness — how developers and startups can build with AI beyond simply using an API. One conversation with KP stayed with me. Asked what the next phase of AI development looks like, his answer was simple:

“If AI is writing your code, you still need to understand how that code works. That understanding is what will help you win the AI race.”

— KP, OpenAI

It reframed how we build VoiceGuardAI. Acceleration is not understanding. The real advantage belongs to builders who can do both — use AI as a force multiplier while deeply understanding the systems it helps them build.

The future won't belong to people who code without AI, nor to people who use AI without understanding code. It belongs to people who understand deeply and build extremely fast.

Grateful to the OpenAI team for hosting. Back to building.
